Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Pre-Construction to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, working closely with the estimating and procurement teams. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and career growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take-offs for Subcontractor Tender Packs:
Measure and quantify construction materials from project plans and specifications.
Prepare accurate take-offs to support the creation of subcontractor tender packs.
2. Creating Bill of Quantities:
Develop detailed and comprehensive bills of quantities based on project requirements.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in the bill of quantities for tender submissions.
3. Liaising with Supply Chain:
Collaborate with the supply chain to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and secure competitive pricing.
Assist in the analysis of tenders and selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Deadline Management:
Work closely with the estimating team to ensure timely completion of tender submissions.
Assist in managing and organizing documentation to meet submission deadlines.
5. Cost Proposal Development:
Collaborate with senior team members to put together cost proposals for clients.
Progress from assisting with smaller projects to taking the lead on projects with a value of €500k and upwards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculations.
Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Proficient in using relevant software for take-offs and bill of quantities (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX).
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under tight deadlines.
Eagerness to learn and develop professional skills in the construction industry.
