Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Pre-Construction to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, working closely with the estimating and procurement teams. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and career growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take-offs for Subcontractor Tender Packs:
  • Measure and quantify construction materials from project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare accurate take-offs to support the creation of subcontractor tender packs.
2. Creating Bill of Quantities:
  • Develop detailed and comprehensive bills of quantities based on project requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in the bill of quantities for tender submissions.
3. Liaising with Supply Chain:
  • Collaborate with the supply chain to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and secure competitive pricing.
  • Assist in the analysis of tenders and selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Deadline Management:
  • Work closely with the estimating team to ensure timely completion of tender submissions.
  • Assist in managing and organizing documentation to meet submission deadlines.
5. Cost Proposal Development:
  • Collaborate with senior team members to put together cost proposals for clients.
  • Progress from assisting with smaller projects to taking the lead on projects with a value of €500k and upwards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculations.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in using relevant software for take-offs and bill of quantities (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under tight deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professional skills in the construction industry.
