Experience:
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- 1-3 years of experience in hospitality, residential design, or a similar relevant field.
- A design-related degree is preferable.
Responsibilities:
Design Creative Management:
- Assist the Studio in concept development and presentations.
- Conduct research on new materials and finishes by liaising with suppliers, ordering samples, and documenting/storing them in the materials library.
- Support the general wellbeing and productivity of the Studio.
Design Documentation:
- Assist the Studio in producing design documentation.
Studio Administration:
- Ensure proper filing procedures are followed for projects.
- Assist the Studio with administrative tasks such as meeting minutes and scheduling.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge:
- Awareness of current style trends and the wider restaurant industry.
- 3D spatial awareness skills.
Skills:
- Developing proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), and Microsoft Office.
- Strong freehand sketching abilities.
Abilities:
- Good eye for colour and materials.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Pragmatic with good problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and ability to follow instructions.
