Financial Controller. London. £30-£35K.

    • To be responsible for all accounting and reporting of all matters and solutions
    • To partner with Management and be part of the team to grow the business
    • To have the experience with managing a financial function and capable to plan, account, report and partner all aspects relating to the role in Finance
    • To understand, apply and communicate Values and sales strategies to customers, dealers and members

    • To optimise level of automation using the tools and can use the tools to produce data analytics

    • To understand UK and Ireland VAT requirements
    • To understand UK and Ireland IFRS and US GAAP

    • To liaise with members in various locations with any financial matters relating to the UK and Ireland
    • To ensure the daily tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner and be responsible for your workload
    • To prepare all aspects of budgets annually, forecasts quarterly and outlooks monthly, and be capable of explaining the reasoning for the results
    • To prepare, maintain and review monthly financial and management accounts, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting, ensuring all aspects are covered by the accounting processes and rules
    • To prepare other month end information as required
    • To prepare monthly a summary dashboard for Management with commentary on any variances to budget, forecast or outlook
    • To carry out all month end procedures with the preparation of journal postings for accruals, prepayment and other journals for the GL accountant to post
    • To work with GL accountant to be responsible for all transactions posted in the general ledger for accuracy and be accountable for all general ledger postings, check and verify,
    • To manage cost centre reporting, check and verify
    • To monitor and maintain the backlog/order report of orders for accuracy
    • To monitor and maintain inventory and work in progress monthly and to assist with the bi-annual physical inventory counts
    • To prepare quarterly reserve information to Corporate, having the ability to understand and explain the balance sheet
    • To prepare KPI’s as necessary
    • To aid with cashflow reporting
    • To monitor costs from suppliers and logistics company for accuracy
    • To prepare monthly margin analysis for sales and costs of sales, building necessary work in progress or accruals for month end reporting
    • To post correctly and reconcile foreign exchange transactions
    • To prepare the VAT returns and payments for UK and Ireland, as required by local governments
    • To prepare monthly intrastat and EC sales as required by local governments
    • To set up payments on time for HMRC for VAT and PAYE
    • To monitor and authorise workflow of purchase invoices
    • To authorise payments using the online banking system for all cost of sales and running costs  
    • To prepare sales commissions and statistics for UK and Ireland sales teams
    • To prepare statistic and analysis reporting as necessary and when required for both internal and external customers
    • To manage market reporting
    • To be responsible for the Accounts Receivable for UK and Ireland, credit control and dunning procedures
    • To manage full audit process from planning to completion meeting and sign off with internal and external customers  
    • To prepare the companies statement of accounts for annual filing with the necessary external bodies
    • To aid in corporation tax preparation for external tax auditors for both UK and Ireland, to follow up an ensure legal deadlines are adhered too
    • To be the main point of contact for the bank, HMRC and accountants
    • To monitor, file and assist with lease agreements
    • To review annually the insurance policies and data protection, ensure all certificates are valid
    • To advise Management of all financial matters of concern
    • To prepare when requested reports required by Corporate
    • To maintain filing and archiving
    • To keep up to date with UK and Ireland financial requirements


    • Be competent with financial packages, be systems literate, accounting software, excel etc
    • Be accurate and organised
    • English fluency is a must; multilingual preferred
    • Excellent presentation, communication and planning skills required. High degree of professionalism and integrity.

    • Internal Customers – all members globally as required.
    • External Contacts – frequent contact with dealers, suppliers, customers, UK government bodies, auditors and banks

    • Educated to ‘A’ level standard.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • 3 years experience in Financial sector
