Architectural Technologist | Leicester/Oxford | £50,000-55,000

Our client are currently expanding their team due to successful bids and increasing demand for their expertise. As a result, they have an exciting opening for a skilled Architectural Technologist to join their experienced and growing Architectural team in Leicester. Initially, you will work on a 12-month contract to deliver an innovative facility for a prominent leader in the world of Motorsport, as well as contribute to advanced manufacturing, education buildings, healthcare, and R&D projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Create technical drawings and details, and BIM coordination through Revit.
  • Assist in formulating and effectively communicating project briefs to colleagues.
  • Conduct studies and develop design proposals for review.
  • Collaborate with other members of the design team.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their goals and develop viable solutions.
  • Ensure design proposals comply with the latest planning policies, building regulations, and technical standards.
  • Prepare detailed designs, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide practical and methodical approaches to problem-solving, working within fixed budgets and deadlines.
  • Manage planning applications and Building Regulations.
  • Inspect building work on-site.
  • Foster customer relationships to identify additional opportunities to address their challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Technical design experience is required.
  • Significant experience in private practice.
  • Proficiency in Revit is a must.
  • BIM management, Dynamo, and Grasshopper skills are beneficial.
  • Experience with Enscape, Lumion, and Rhino visualization is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with UK best practice standards.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail while maintaining high standards of work.
  • Demonstrate talent, creativity, and excellent communication skills, enabling unlimited scope for personal and career development.
