Mid-Weight Designer

Our client requires a middle weight interior designer, with a minimum of 2 years experiences within the D&B sector or from within the interior department of an architectural practice.

The candidate must demonstrate a fresh & innovative approach to design. Energetic and creative qualities are essential. They need to be able to present and communicate their work with passion and confidence.

Display the ability to produce creative concept work and have the foresight to develop conceptual work into working solutions. They also need to demonstrate a clear understanding of space planning a working environment.  The candidate should also display a good level of technical know how and IT savviness.

The role will require the individual to have the ability to run an entire project, from brief take to completion.  They will form an integral part of a well established, highly motivated and ambitious design team.

Required Skills:

AutoCAD literate

Sketch Up literate, render plug in packages also advantageous.

Indesign & Photoshop literate 

2-5 years experience within Design & Build sector

A relevant design qualification

Ability to provide conceptual & creative design ideas

Ability to space plan

Basic knowledge of building regulations, planning and fire regulations



Responsible for all elements involved within the design process of a medium sized project.

Duties will include:

Site survey & building visits, client brief taking and rapour building, space planning, producing creative design solutions, a strong working relationship with the pre-contracts director, production of presentation design material, confident communication of that design to the client, product specification, detailing & working drawing production & co-ordination, required site attendance through until project completion.

Assist Senior Designers in projects

Maintain client confidence and good client relations

Attend meetings with suppliers to gain product knowledge

Maintain educational proficiency in interior design by attendance at seminars, workshops and trade shows.


Reports to: Design Director.

This position involves the individual working alone or alongside Senior Designers.  It requires a low level of supervision by a senior designer. Performance evaluations are conducted by the Design Director who has responsibility with approval from the Managing Director for determining promotions, training, termination and salary increases.
